Equal Pay Guidance

Equal Pay Guidance

Did you know: Very few organisations set out to deliberately create an equal pay gap. Identifying you have a gap is the first step to reducing it but taking the right actions may not always have a positive impact.
Initiatives to improve pay gaps and develop more robust and fair approaches to pay decisions should, by all accounts, ensure that organisations see their pay gaps decrease.

However, the implementation of some initiatives may have unexpected outcomes for the first few years. Bringing in more junior female staff will probably increase your gap – especially if you are not promoting and increasing the pay of senior female staff by the same degree.

We can help you identify the impact of your initiatives. We can also help you communicate policies and practices, develop training and encourage better decision making.
